Geoff Cutmore presents CNBC Europe's award winning Squawkbox programme. He has spent the last decade covering business stories from CNBC's operations in London and Hong Kong.
Geoff has reported on business news live on location from emerging economies like Russia, Poland, the Philippines and Vietnam. He has interviewed many of the world's business and finance legends, including Jack Welch, Jim Rogers and George Soros.
Geoff is in demand at business conferences, and has chaired and moderated seminars for events run by the World Economic Forum, The Wall Street Journal and Businessweek.
Before concentrating on business news Geoff spent many years as a general news reporter, covering on location such world changing events as the first multi-racial South African elections and the Soviet Coup attempt in 1991 when Yeltsin rode the tanks in the attack on the Russian Whitehouse. During this time he had the opportunity to conduct one-on-one interviews with high-level individuals including British Prime Minister John Major and Pakistan President Benazhir Bhutto.
Geoff's book, New Market Mavericks, was published in November 2004. It looks at four different types of investor: technical analyst, historical analyst, hedge fund manager and fund of funds manager, and puts forward case studies that offer insight into the work and practice of successful individuals.
Geoff also chairs conferences and seminars and is a highly skilled conference facilitator and after dinner speaker. He has a wealth of experience hosting events and award ceremonies, both at home and abroad.
