Fiona Bruce pictureFiona Bruce is one of the country’s top journalists and presenters. She anchors the BBC’s flagship Ten O’Clock News and has co-hosted Crimewatch for the BBC for eight years. She has been announced as the new presenter of the Antiques Roadshow, the BBC’s top rated factual programme that has been running for thirty years.

Fiona has been a journalist at the BBC for eighteen years. She started as a researcher on Panorama travelling throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States. She progressed to become a reporter on several prime time current affairs series culminating in Newsnight and Panorama.

In 1999 she became an anchor on the Six O’Clock News and presented The Antiques Show for BBC2. She hosted Call my Bluff and also hosted the BBC1 quiz show What Are You Like? She has commentated on significant occasions as part of the BBC’s Events team such as the wedding between Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys Jones.

For four years , Fiona presented and reported on her own investigative current affairs series Real Story with Fiona Bruce which has won five awards from the Royal Television Society. In addition Fiona has made a number of documentaries about major crimes, police investigations, health issues and has conducted interviews with well known and controversial figures such as Cherie Blair.

She was the first woman presenter to be part of the BBC’s general election studio team and she has won three Newscaster of the Year awards from the Television and Radio Industry Club. Fiona has hosted the arts show The Green Room for Radio 2 and has written numerous newspaper articles. Fiona's book "Savvy!: The Modern Girl's Guide To Doing It All Without Risking It All" was published on 30 June 2008 by Bantam Press.

Fiona also chairs conferences and seminars and is a highly skilled conference facilitator and after dinner speaker. She has a wealth of experience hosting events and award ceremonies, both at home and abroad.
